The ergonomic footplate sits at a 5° angle with a cross-track grip surface and embedded hardened steel pins, promoting lower leg stability and helping you maintain your heel position. A twin-balance arch system distributes your weight evenly across the frame, while the recessed and offset apex encourages a natural 45° outward foot orientation, making it easier to find the correct angle and recover a lost stirrup.
Safety is built in. An integrated hinged arm uses a two-stage release mechanism to prevent accidental opening. Under pressure—such as landing over a fence—the spring-loaded arm locks firmly into the base frame, spreading your weight evenly and preventing the outside from flexing. When you need to exit, gentle pressure on the arm releases it with a breakout force of 36N (3.62kg), enough to resist unintended opening but responsive when needed.
Important: stirrups with quick-release arms are not guaranteed to open in every fall scenario. Factors such as a horse falling, loose girth, or unusual exit angles may prevent release. While rare, riders must understand that no stirrup design is completely foolproof in all circumstances.

Orders placed before 12 Noon are despatched the same day for in-stock items when paid by MasterCard, Visa, Delta Laser or Switch. Standard service 3 - 5 working days. Orders placed and paid by cheque will be delayed by six working days.
Most orders are despatched in 24 hours, however, at peak times or when stock is limited delays may occur. At such times, please allow 28 days for delivery . You will be advised of any expected delays at the time of ordering.
It is important that a signatory is available to sign for the consignment at the advised delivery address only. Courier companies may make additional charges for second attempt deliveries or may require the addressee to collect from their local depot. If a signatory is not available at your usual address please consider an alternative delivery address where a representative for yourself is available to sign, or designate your workplace as your preferred delivery location. Please note parcels that are returned to Holmestead Saddlery where a signature could not be obtained, and have not been collected from the courier's depot within seven days, will be subject to a £15.00 couriers charge.
